Ezekiel
150 Bible Basics
A man who prophesied while exiled in Babylon. Ezekiel’s writings contain many condemnations against Judah along with vivid imagery and object lessons.
Similarly to Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Daniel, Ezekiel gave hope to the people despite the negative realities in which they lived. Ezekiel 34-48 shares visions of a future temple and a resurrection which God would bring about.
Revelation draws heavily on Ezekiel’s imagery and terminology regarding God’s throne, the temple, and the battle of Gog and Magog.
